Rivers Secure Online Server offers a secure and efficient way of processing your personal details over the Internet utilising the latest in SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. Receipts for your purchase can be generated in a number of different forms. If you have an email account you can receive an HTML version, a Plain Text version or both versions of your receipt to your nominated account. To view examples of how they appear, visit our Receipt Formats page. If you do not have an email account, be sure to print out the Order Confirmation page and/or the final page of the purchase as your receipt.

Please note: When you Submit your order, you will be presented with an onscreen summary of your order & personal details. Once you select your preferred e-mail receipt format and submit your order to our secure server, you should receive confirmation of your order via your nominated e-mail address within 30 minutes. Fax/Mail Order
To order via fax or snail mail progress through the shopping pages as normal. When you view your shopping cart there are two different forms available to you:

1. The "Blank Order Form" is a blank form which you print out and fill in the order details yourself.

2. The "Printable Form" is similar to the SSL ordering process. However instead of sending your information over the Internet, your order and personal details will print out on a form ready for you to fax or post to the factory.

Once completed, your order is ready to be faxed to the Rivers Factory. In Australia dial (03) 5335 1206. Outside Australia dial +61 3 5335 1206 adding the international access prefix for your particular country. If you wish to mail your order via snail mail, you will need to post the form to the "Rivers Online Clearance Store, PO Box 53, Sebastopol, 3356, Victoria, Australia"

Rivers’ Return of Goods Policy
This "Return of Goods Policy" is in addition to and does not modify your rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 & equivalent State or Territory legislation but is in replacement for and hereby excludes all other statutory and common law rights that are able to be excluded.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods replaced or repaired if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to major failure.

GENERAL INFORMATION

PRODUCT ASSERTED TO BE FAULTY

Product asserted to be faulty should be returned to the Rivers Store at which it was purchased or any other Rivers store along with proof of purchase showing the date and purchase price. If you also claim you have suffered any loss or damage due to the alleged fault in the product, you must also provide specific details regarding such loss or damage, including documentation supporting your claim. Please note that only defects appearing within 6 months of the date of purchase are covered by Rivers defect warranty.

The nature of the alleged fault in the product should be clearly identified to Rivers Staff upon the return of the product. It may then be sent to the Rivers factory for assessment of the alleged fault.

If the factory assessment indicates that the product did not suffer a major failure, but is nevertheless of unnacceptable quality, Rivers will either offer you an exchange for the same or similar product, a refund or credit note (depending on whether or not you have proof of purchase), or will attempt to repair the goods at its expense.

If the factory assessment indicates that the product has suffered a major failure, Rivers will offer you a replacement product, credit note or refund (depending on whether or not you have proof of purchase).

THE PRODUCT HAS SUFFERED A MAJOR FAILURE & YOU HAVE YOUR RECEIPT

If assessed as having suffered a major failure and you have proof of purchase such as your Rivers receipt: we may offer you an exchange, credit note or refund at the $ value printed on the receipt.

THE PRODUCT HAS SUFFERED A MAJOR FAILURE BUY YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR RECEIPT

If assessed as having suffered a major failure and you do NOT have proof of purchase such as your Rivers receipt: we MAY offer  you exchange ONLY for the same style or a credit note at our lowest selling price the product has been sold for at any point in time. i.e NO refund.

This defect warranty is offered by Rivers Quality Control, PO Box 53, Sebastopol, Vic 3356, email: q@rivaus.com.au. The benefits given to you by this warranty are in addition to other consumer rights and remedies under the law in relation to the goods to which the warranty relates.

Australian and International Transactions:
Unused or unworn goods (with tags attached) can be returned by mail at your cost to:
Rivers Online, PO Box 53, Sebastopol, 3356. Victoria, Australia.

Please include your original receipt, EFTPOS receipt and a note of explanation.

Exchange of goods:
If you would like to exchange the item then please include in the note the style code, colour and size that you would like the item to be exchanged for. As soon as the goods are received by the factory they will be processed and returned to you immediately.

If the item you wish to exchange for is not available at the time of transaction then a refund will be processed to your credit card (as long as you have your original receipt)

The exchange of Clearance goods will not incur a further postage fee of $8.80 within Australia and outside Australia other postal charges will apply. (In some countries the goods might attract duty and tariff charges, please check what applies in your country).

Shipping Costs
All orders incur a $8.80 postage fee when ordered within Australia. However, if your order totals above AUD $70, we will ship it to you free (i.e. no postage charge). If you have specified delivery to outside of Australia you will pay shipping costs for all products sent (plus any charges added at the country of destination). Please consult the table at the Shipping Costs page for more detailed listings of the charges. These shipping costs are not refundable in the event the goods are returned.

Delivery Time
For those customers living in Australian metro areas, most orders will be delivered within four business days. However, should your nominated delivery address lie in a more regional area or New Zealand, please allow a few more days for arrival.

Orders with shipping addresses nominated as P.O. boxes within Australia are delivered by Australia Post. If you are unavailable at the time of delivery, Australia Post has a handy guide for collecting your parcel here. Orders with shipping addresses nominated as street addresses within Australia are delivered by Toll.

Currently, we only ship internationally to addresses in New Zealand. Please note that if your order contains perfume or cologne, it may take longer as it has to be sent via road freight due to Australia Post guidelines. At this stage, we are unfortunately not able to ship perfume or cologne to International addresses.

Refresh - Important!
It is important to stress the use of the Refresh Button / Icon whilst visiting our pages in the product sections and in any subsequent visits. With the turnover of product we have, sometimes the site is updated every hour between 7am and 11pm weeknights with the latest data and ongoing new clearance product. However quite a few ISP's are using proxy servers to cache web pages in order to speed up browsing for their clients, and your own browser may do the same. Thus many people who bookmark a particular page for example "Mens Long Sleeve Shirts" return to the page and pull up a "cached" version which is resident in their ISP's proxy server or their own computer. This "cached" version of the page can contain incorrect or obsolete information, so needs to be updated by hitting the "Refresh" button (or "Reload" button on Netscape browsers). This will save you the hassle of filling in an order and then being told that the product you ordered is out of stock.
