The foot length is measured in millimetres from the back of the heel to the end of the furthest toe. See Fig. 1 above.

The foot circumference is measured in millimetres around the circumference of the  foot, ensuring that the tape is positioned around the ball of the foot which is generally the widest part. See Fig. 2 above.

You will need someone to assist you in measuring your foot as the full weight of your body should be on your foot eg: you should stand up.

Note: Do not pull the tape too tight when measuring.

 

Example No. 1
Sally has measured the length of her foot to be 238mm.
Sally has measured the circumference of her foot to be 212mm.

Therefore, Sally should order Rivers shoes of size 7.

Example No. 2
Mandy has measured the length of her foot to be 258mm.
Mandy has measured the circumference of her foot to be 230mm.

Therefore, Mandy should order Rivers shoes of size 10.
